Hi all, Just like to relate a story about the vast
TV satellite system for travellers ,that I have encountered . Three years ago I bought the Vast
satellite system and signed up to the travellers option , with free renewal every 6 months, all was ok we used it several times and have not used it for about 18 months so I sold it .The new owner registered it ok and got it set up in his yard ,to try it out before going away , but when he tuned in he got the message that he could not receive the signal because it was not updated for so long .Both he and I rang Vast and we were told that if the set top box is not switched on and updated regularly ie every two months or so ,there will be too many updates for them to send out ,so use the set top box as a paperweight and buy a new one .This seems a bit strange to me but that is what we were told ,so if any one has a Vast
satellite system ,switch it on regularly to keep is updated ,unless anyone knows if this in fact true ?? .He did have it set up perfectly by the way .
